Ms. Tonisha K. “Knott” Davis, 34, of West Point, GA passed away on Saturday, October 19, 2019 at EAMC-Lanier, Valley, AL.
A Homegoing Celebration for Ms. Davis will be held on Sunday, October 27, 2019, 3:00 p.m., EST in the Sanctuary of the Bethlehem Baptist Church with Dr. W. T. Edmondson, Pastor, Rev. Charles Trammell, Eulogist, Pastor Terry Tucker, Pastor, Larry West and Rev. W. G. Wimberly, assisting.
Interment will follow in Marseilles Cemetery.
The remains will lie in state at the church on Sunday, Oct. 27, 2019 from 2:00 p.m., EST until the funeral hour.
Public Viewing will be held at the mortuary on Saturday October 26, 2019 from 1:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., EST.
The family will receive visitors at the residence of Ms. Davis, 1202 A, East 11th Street, West Point, GA 31833.
Miss Tonisha Kelmesheya Davis, the daughter of Patricia A. Jennings and Roderick Edmonson/Vincent Lovelace, was born March 16, 1985 in Langdale, AL. She received her heavenly wings on Saturday, October 19, 2019 at the EAMC-Lanier, Valley, AL.
Tonisha confessed Christ at an early age and united with the Mt. Nebo Baptist, West Point, GA. Tonisha received her education in the Troup County Public School System, where she was a member of the 2003 graduating class of Troup High School. “Knott”, as she was known, was a very energetic and loving person. She was a dedicated babysitter and was the family and community go to hair consultant. “No one could take down micros like Knott.
She was predeceased in death by her grandfather, Andrew Davis, Jr.; great grandmother, Martha Hutchinson and a great aunt, Mary Alice Hutchinson.
Tonisha is survived by her loving daughter, Saniyah Davis and her protective son, Sani’jae Davis of West Point, GA; parents, Patricia (Chris) Jennings and Roderick Edmonson/Vincent Lovelace; three sisters, Yamasheka (Tony) Davis, Jordan Hicks of West Point, GA, Dashia Black of Lanett, AL; two brothers, C J Hicks and Monte Lipscomb of West Point, GA; grandparents, Virginia Davis of West Point, GA, Wanda and Chris Harris, Lanett, AL, Freddy and Deborah Johnson of West Point, GA; great grandmother, Carrie Pearl Davis, West Point, GA, a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
