Obituary For Ms. Leila Moss

Ms. Leila Moss, a resident of Valley, AL, died Tuesday, April 28, 2020 in West Point, GA.

Memorial Services are scheduled for Sunday, May 3, 2020 at 12:00 Noon (EST) from Davis Memorial Mortuary Chapel with Rev. Wayne Baker, Pastor of Burrell Chapel A.M.E. Church, Opelika, AL officiating. Davis Memorial Mortuary directing.

Ms. Leila Moss was born April 3, 1932 to the late John Wright, Sr. and Carrie Mae Moss in Newnan, Georgia. She accepted Christ as her Savior and at the time of her death was a member of Burrell Chapel A.M.E Church in Opelika, Alabama.

She was preceded in death by three brothers, Willie Cotton, Sr., John Wright, Jr. and Frank Kimber; one sister Virginia Walker Chaney; and, her step-father, Joe C. Walker. Leila departed this life on Tuesday, April 28, 2020.

She leaves to cherish her memories: three daughters, Linda Wright, Harris County, GA, Eartha (Steven Wayne, Sr.) Andrews and Mary Ann Moss both of Valley, AL; one son, Edward Huling, Columbus, GA; nine grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; four brothers, Roger (Joanne) Walker, Sr., Columbus, GA, Orbary (Barbara) Walker, Sr., Decatur, GA, David Walker, New York, NY and Larry (Brenda) Walker, Sr., Columbus, GA; one sister, Curley (Charlie P.) Daniel, Rex, GA; a beloved cousin, Annie Sanders and her family, West Point, GA; and, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
