Obituary For Lula Pearl Pickett

Carter Funeral Home respectfully announces the transition of Ms. Lula Pearl Pickett, 57, of Warner Robins, Georgia.

Born August 6,1960, as Lula Pearl Reynolds, she transitioned into eternity Sunday. December 17,2017.

Services celebrating her earthly life will be held Saturday, December 23, 2017 at 1:00 pm from the sanctuary of the Second Baptist Church of the Thompson Community.

Words of comfort will be rendered by the pastor, Rev. Ibrahim Lee.

Interment will follow in the Second Baptist Cemetery.

Public visitation will be held Friday, December 22, 2017 from 2:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Carter Funeral Home.

Born, August 6, 1960, Lula Pearl, confessed her belief in Christ and united with the Second Baptist Church family of Union Springs, AL. Her later service years were spent as a member of the Union Grove Baptist Church of Warner Robins, Georgia, where she served on the Usher Board and was a staff member of the church nursery. The Union Grove Baptist Church family embraced and supported Lula throughout the years, creating several fond memories. Treasured experiences were shared with the entire church family but especially her ministerial parents: Pastor Bobby L. (Carolyn) Smith and family, and special friends: Deacon Jerome Stephens and family and Ms. Linda Davis and Family. .

Lula Pearl was preceded in death by her parents, Willie James Reynolds and Lula Mae Reynolds; sister, Rosa Lee Reynolds; and brothers, Willie Lee Reynolds and Banaza Monday.

Earthly memories will be long cherished by her daughter, Tammy Ltree Woods of McDonough, GA.; Dennis Edward (Bianka) Pickett, Jr. of Platte City, MO., and Jermaine Darnell Pickett of Centerville, GA.; Grandchildren: Caleb Jamal Woods and Jaylen Jamarrie Woods, both of McDonough, GA., Joshua Pickett, Mason Pickett, Delilah Pickett and Bryce Pickett, all of Platte City, MO.; Step-mother: Mary Ross; three sisters: Georgia Reynolds, Shirley Reynolds and Sharon Hill; three brothers: Willie C. (Helen) Reynolds, Willie Smith and Paul Harris; five step-sisters: Barbara Harris, Patricia Ann Mosley, Ethel Harris, Hattie (Victor) Alvis, and Dorothy McKinnon; a step-brother: Robert (Mary) Harris; Aunts: Mary McDaniel, Sallie Reynolds, and Carolyn Bradberry; Uncle: Luther James (Minnie) Reynolds; numerous nieces and nephews including her devoted niece: Towanda Lee Edwards; and several loving relatives and friends, including her best friend of over thirty years: Ms. Betty Truman and Family.
