Carter Funeral Home announces the transition of Mrs. Debra Ann Jackson, 57 of Dayton, Ohio on February 22, 2018.
Born June 24,1960, as Debra Ann Pritchett, Debra was a member of the Bullock County High School Class of 1978.
Services Celebrating her earthly life will be held Saturday, March 3, 2018 at 12 noon from the sanctuary of the Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church, Bruceville Community.
Words of comfort will be rendered by the pastor, Rev. Roosevelt Grant.
Mrs. Jackson will lie in repose at the church one hour prior to Celebration of Life Services.
Public visitation will be held Friday. March 2, 2018 from 2:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Carter Funeral Home.

Mrs. Debra P. Jackson was born June 24, 1960 in Bullock County. She was born to Mrs. Mary Mayo and Mr. Willie F. Elder. Debra joined Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church at a young age where she was a faithful member until she finished college. After a long courtship from eighth grade, she married the love of her life Mr. Reginald Jackson on December 26, 1981 and moved to Dayton, Ohio.
Mrs. Jackson was director of Human Resources at 5 Rivers Metro Park of Dayton, Ohio. She was Treasurer on the board of director for the Ohio Board of Labor Relations and Board Member of Society for Human Resources (SHRM), a 1978 graduate of Bullock County High School, a 1982 graduate of Alabama State University, a member of the SOS Organization since 1989. Debra was a loving and giving person to everyone she met.
Debra was preceded in death by her loving grandmother, Hazel (Muh) Pritchett; grandparents, Willie and Sweetie Elder; her brother, Kenneth Mayo; and her nephew, Renner Austin.
Mrs. Jackson leaves to cherish her memories, a loving and caring, dedicated husband: Mr. Reginald Jackson of Beavercreek, OH.; mother, Mrs. Mary Mayo of Saginaw, MI.; father, Willie F. Elder of Elder Ridge, AL; six brothers: Mr. Calvin (Diane) Pritchett of Union Springs, AL., Mr. Renner (Laura) Pritchett of Grand Rapids, MI., Mr. Jerome (Crystal) Pritchett of Hudson, OH., Mr. Nathan Shipman, Mr. Norman Elder and Mr. Johnnie (Tiffany) Snipes, all of Atlanta, GA.; one sister, Mrs. Tina Fuller (Miles) Davis of New York, NY.; one sister-in-law, Mrs. Sanguenetta (Leon) Battle; of Union Springs, AL.; three brothers-in-law: Mr. Michael (Valerie) Jackson of Auburn, AL., Mr. Mainor (Marilyn) Jackson of Montgomery, AL., and Mr. Richard (Mary) Jackson of Jacksonville, FL.; four aunts: Mrs. Mattie (Le’mon) Bradford of Euclid, OH., Mrs. Delois Pritchett, Mrs. Betty Youngblood both of Union Springs, AL., and Mrs. Patricia (James) Logan of Las Vegas, NV.; three uncles: Mr. Harmon (Doris) Elder of Elder Ridge, AL., Mr. Solomon (Bobbie) Elder of Troy, AL., and Larry Elder of Arlington, VA. along with a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
