Cassandra can best be described as a helper. She devoted her life to helping others, whether that was helping her own family or those she encountered in her years of working in Mental Health and Substance Abuse. She had a passion for helping the underdogs in life. Whenever she encountered what she felt was an injustice she would fight passionately to see that it was righted, sometimes at her own expense. She set an example for those in her circle that encouraged them to reach further.
Cassandra and Bob’s home was a place of merriment and laughter. Many birthday parties and other family celebrations took place there. There were numerous pets as she had a passion for animals, which she probably inherited from her mother. The pets in her life were often “worshipped”, many times to Bob’s amazement! She was supportive of her family. She was unselfish and generous with those she loved as well as those she may have just met if they were in need. Her family members will always remember her generosity and will honor her by continuing that wonderful trait in their own lives.
“Tutie” was loved by many. Since her death, stories which “sang her praises” have been told in abundance by both friends and family members. She would be pleased and humbled by all of the kind words spoken in her honor.
She will be greatly missed. But in faith we will heal and know that all things work together for good for those who love God, and that she did. Amen
