Obituary For Boyce ”Billie” Wilson

Boyce(Billie) Kennedy Wilson of West Point Georgia passed away in LaGrange, Georgia on September 2, 2020. Billie was born on May 2, 1925 in Langdale Alabama to the late Walter and Denver Milner Kennedy of Lanett, Alabama.

Billie was a long-time member of the West Point First United Methodist Church. She was very active in UMW, holding many leadership roles over the years. Billie loved music and always had a song in her heart. She was a member of the choir and served as the choir librarian for many years. Performing with the Madrigal Singers was also a joy to her.

Billie served her community, volunteering time at the Hawkes Library, Meals on Wheels, and the Adult literacy program. Anyone that knew Billie knows she loved all things “England”. She made many trips with her husband and others to visit her favorite destination. Her scrapbooks documenting her travels were phenomenal.

Boyce (Billie) Kennedy Wilson is survived by daughter -in-law Janice Wilson; granddaughter Julie (Daniel) Premo ; two great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Clifford E. Wilson; son John K. Wilson; brother Robert Kennedy; and sister Madge Kennedy Tidwell.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, October 3, 2020 at 11:00 am EDT at West Point First United Methodist Church, West Point Georgia. Reverend Erik Mays will officiate.

Social Distancing and wearing of masks will be followed in accordance with Church and city policies.
